Has anybody used the MXP200i that is on the YCM VMC ? I am looking at a YCM TV116A or NSV 85A. We are using a Doosan with a Oi that I do not like all that much. Just wondering if the MXP200i is an improvement over the Oi controllers. Kevin |

I'm pretty sure the MXP200i is a 0i with YCI's front end. What don't you like about the 0i? |

| 0i is the most cost-effective model with all the usual features. You need to go for a higher version only for special applications or a window-based control. Most of the programmers do not use full potential of even 0i controls. And, a car is only as good as the driver handling it. |

| MXP200i is nothing more the YCM putting there own name on a Fanuc 0i control..I dont know if its a 0iC or an OiD but anyway you look at it...its the most reliable CNC control system in the world and more than half of the features and power of the CNC will never be used,,even by the most experienced user. FYI...Its really up to the builders as to what the control HMI looks like and how it works...Some builders do wild operator interfaces and I read on here about this system or that system being allot better than a Fanuc...what people dont know is...Its still a Fanuc.. |

| Thanks, I was hoping that they were putting on a modern controller rather than just an Oi Fanuc. I was trying to compare the MXP200i with the Mori Dura control. It is between the YCM and the Mori Dura at this time. Kevin |

| Just so you know...the Oi control is one of the latest models available...in fact at JIMTOF two weeks ago...Fanuc released its newest CNC control....A 0i..model D with USB. Mori uses Fanuc CNC's as well...they just put there own name on them. |
