| You cannot exchange the A06B-6058-H221 and -H222 amps. These dual element amplifiers are designed to run the following motors: -H221: 1st and 2nd elements: 2-0S, 1-0S, 1-0S/3000, 2-0S/3000 -H222: 1st element is same as above 2nd element supports 0S, 5S motors The 2nd element internal shunt feedback resistor modules used in the current loop are different (and possibly the power module, but I don't have the print) so the drive would have a false current reading and the motor would either go unstable or perform badly. You'll need to replace the -H221 with the same PN. This is almost always true across the board with FANUC digital servo amps. |

| The AC Servo Maint Manual, B-65005E/07 lists all the motor / amp combos for the A06B-6057, 6058, 6066 units. Here's the info requested. A06B-6058- H002: 4-0S, 3-0S H003: 2-0S, 1-0S H004: 0S, 5S 5T/2000 H005: 0S/3000, 10S, 20S/1500, 10T/2000, 0T/3000 H006: 20S, 30S H007: 20S/3000, 30S/3000, 40S/2000 H023: 2-0S/3000, 1-0S/3000 H025: 5S/3000, 10S/3000, 5T/3000, 10T/3000 H101: 50S H102: 60S, 70S |

| Hi, Thank you for the information. My Denford Cyclone is throwing error codes 401, 414 and 424 (only sometimes) when you first turn it on. I believe the problem is in the drive board, so I began searching for a replacement. It seems that as long as the cabinet is warm, the machine runs fine. When it gets cold, sometimes it is not so fine and throws codes. This makes me think there is a soldered joint that is not making good contact until it warms up. Does anyone have an idea or experience with a problem like this? Thanks for your help, Bill Gillen |

| The 414/424 alarms are almost like a Check Engine light in a car. You need to look further to determine the real fault 'message'. Depending on what type of CNC, you would go to the following diagnostics display: Series 0-C/D ========== DGN 720 - (1st axis) DGN 721 - (2nd axis) etc Series 16/18/20/21 ============== DGN 200 (shown per-axis) There is a bit for each type of fault (e.g. HC for High Current, LV for Low Voltage, etc) Some of these actually cross to an LED fault on your drive amplifier, as well, so I like to check both the DGN and the amplifier LED before going further. Most of the FANUC CNC Maintenance manuals have some guidance along these lines that will help you flow through the 414 troubleshooting process. |

| Hi All, I looked on the motherboard, and found four empty sockets labeled 43256C (and there was a column labeled for two of the sockets (2H) and (3H) for the other two. I then went to ebay and typed in 43256C. Five different chips popped up, so I wanted to ask which is the correct chip? | These SRAM chips are not related to any servo alarms as they are used for options that require additional battery backed memory. To answer your question, though, you can use either of the first four PN you listed. The 5th may be useable but I didn't bother to investigate it. The -10 indicate 100nsec access time so it would be faster than the -12 or the -15. FANUC actually defaulted to 250nsec in the older controls so you can certainly use the faster chip. The single L indicates low retention voltage and the LL indicates low retention current. Any of these are useable but will probably just result in a RAM Parity Error if you install them and found a way to have them accessed by an option bit.
