In manual guide mode the directory shows 15 mem blocks used even when cleared of all programmes.I am now pretty sure of the cause of the problem but need to find a way to free up all the memory. |

| It says Alpha 1000 series above the screen. The machine has three modes, CNC (fanuc ot), manual guide, and alpha mode.I have three backup files with the machine:- SRAMO_5A.FDB CNCPARAM.DAT PMC_RA.PRM . These files must be the ones used to restore the machine. |

have been sent some instructions on how to backup, clear and restore the memory have tried the backup and it has worked for cncparam.dat and pmc_ra.prm but the sram_5a.fdb file will not save. I am using a 2gb compact flash card, the one I use for sending and recieving programmes day to day. I don't know what these files are and which one is related to the troubled manual guide side of the machine. It may be that the sram file is corrupted in the machine and this is why I cannot back it up |
