| Hello. I just brought CNC machines. One with Fanuc 11M controller, another with 6T controller. Since i don't have any CAM program. Can anyone please advise where to get G-CODE transfer program from the PC into the controller? Thank you very much in advance. Jeff Newbie. |

| Here are a few links to other threads that have the attachments for the pinout and parameter settings. http://www.cnczone.com/forums/fanuc/...lp_please.html http://www.cnczone.com/forums/fanuc/...10t_rs232.html Stevo |

| I just downloaded the new version today, now you have use the link that shows up when the program installs to get the key # off the site. If it is a PC not on the internet, you have to transcribe it over by hand. Al.

| The info Al The Man pointed you towards is good, but I'll add a little about the handshaking. 1. The pin out shown in Fanuc_6m.pdf will allow either Xon Xoff (software handshaking), or with the transfer software set for RTS/CTS (hardware handshaking) 2. The pin out shown in Fanuc 6 RS232.pdf shows a Null Modem and a Full Handshaking pin out. The Full Handshaking configuration will allow for either Software or Hardware handshaking, whilst the Mull Modem cable will only accommodate Xon Xoff; the reason being is that the RTS/CTS lines are bridged, as are the DSR/CD/DTR lines. This means that the hardware handshaking components of the respective Uarts are held high. 3. If you use software handshaking, and you construct your own cable (sometimes necessary when a fairly long cable is required), then you only need the bridging of pins at the machine end, the following pin out will work; there is no requirement to bridge the pins at the PC end. The bridged pins at the machine end are to keep the machine's Uart happy. Software handshaking only uses transfer lines 2 and 3 and the Signal Ground 5 to 7 4. If you are going to drip feed (DNC) to the machine, then look for a software package that allows initiation of the transfer from the machine. In other words, the remote device is made ready and will wait for an Xon from the machine, that will be generated when the cycle start button is pressed, before it starts sending. DNC is accomplished by using Tape Mode on the machine, as opposed to Edit Mode when sending a program to the machines memory. Regards, Bill Machine End------------PC End 25 Pin-------------------9 Pin 2------------------------2 3------------------------3 7------------------------5 4-- | bridged 5-- 6-- | bridged 8-- | bridged 20- |

| I usually bridge the H.W. H.S. on the PC end just to avoid any problems, also if not, when using programs like CademLite, the port diagnostic will show an error as it checks the H.W. H.S. The DNC systems like Cadem will allow the request of a file off an unattended server, the operator sends a very short program that has the file number in it and the server waits a predetermined delay before transmitting the file, this is to allow the operator to switch over to File Input and then wait for the server file. Al.
