The Company I work for just bought a used Enshu VMC 650 vertical mill with Fanuc m15 control. (Problem)There was a 6inch bed base fixture attached to the machine when we bought it. I have taken off the fixture. Now with this being said the old owner has changed all the x,y and z axis limit values to allow for the fixture I took off. So, I need to get back to the Factory settings on the all the axis limits. Thank so much in advance Stoney459 |

| Make sure that you set them based on the "reference" position of the machine. I usually set them 3mm past the reference position. You don't want to just guess. If they are set to short you will get an alarm before the machine can reference. If set to long you will "hard" overtravel before the settings. Stevo |

| Stoney, Adjusting your softlimits is usually pretty easy. If you want to give it a go let us know and we can talk you thru it. Save ya some $. If your worried about screwing something up just make sure that you get a backup of the machine prior to changing anything that way if something goes haywire then you can just change it back. Stevo |

| I responded to your PM. I need to know what the settings to parameter 1240 are for all axis. I also need the settings to parameters 5220 and 5221 for all axis. Could you also tell me where the machine references? Does it go + all directions to the end of the stroke in all axis? Make a backup of your parameters if you have not done so already. You should have a full backup of this machine and if you do not let me know and I will tell you how to get all the data out. There is more than just NC parameters and programs. Stevo |
