Need Help!- buffer overflow

most of the time when i try to upload a program into my 11m control
i get this error
SR824 Buffer Overflow (rs232c_1)
what causes this ?
and how can it be fixed ?

Your computer is feeding code to the machine way faster than it can handle.
Slow it down ,your software should have a setting to let you pause it a few mlli seconds between blocks so your control can handle it

ok , ill try that when i go back to the shop
that makes sense , it used to work fine so something must of changed

it actually didnt have any pause time , so i put 50ms to be safe lol

Usually you can eliminate buffer overflows by going into Control Panel, System, Hardware, Device Manager, and opening the properties for your COM port. Back the sliders way down and uncheck "Use FIFO buffers"
