SC23 Framing Error Fanuc 15M

Been doing everything the same for months on my end, now I'm getting the above mentioned error. No idea what changed at all, the post and communications software are all the same. Sometimes it will work and sometimes it will fail. Any idea's suggestions on this guys?

Which model.. A or B?

Do you have any other Alarms?

I don't suppose you have changed any DNC settings on the machine side or the PC side.

I don't find SC23 in the 15M-B operator's manual. All of the references to Framing Error say "Stop bit of a character received by RS232 C interface n was not detected."

Is your cable shielded? Is the shield connected to pin 1 on the Fanuc side?

I seem to remember having this problem at a customer's shop and I replaced the cable and the problem went away.

I didn't find it in my Model A manuals.

I've only seen this problem once, but it did not exibit the framing error.

Always use the best shielded cable you can get.
