| The Fanuc controller is a Oi series model d installed on a vertical lathe that came from China(all the ionfo is in chinese) So that is why I'm having problems. We got rid of the alarm by tricking the limit switch. The problem is we are not able to home the machine. On most machines you have a zero return button which this one does not have. This is a sample program I ran but as soon as it starts the machine is asking to home. M03 S800; G90 G94 T0101; G00 X2 0. Z2 0. ; G01 X2--- ___. | You don't say what make and model the machine is... And there isn't a "REF RETURN" mode (in lieu of a Zero Return button)? I'm assuming that it's fairly new (0iT-D)? Did you buy it new? There should be a reseller someplace that can give you some support... |

| When limits are hit most machines will have a OT release or bypass button that you must hold in while moving the axis opposite direction of the OT with the handle or sometimes you can use JOG. Once you are off the OT you should be able to press reset to clear the alarm. I can not imagin a MTB making a machine that you have to remove the switch every time you OT. Then again it is from China .Dave is correct you may not have a home button that says "home". It may be an iteration of that. It could also just be a symbol. Most machines that I got from overseas seem to use symbols more than lettering. Check to see if you have a button that maybe looks like a circle with a shape like the letter L through it or a bullseye. It may also be that you have absolute encoders on the machine and it does not have to be referenced. Stevo |
