Some interesting reading on how to output G10 fixture offsets on Fanuc.

I have a 18M control and I cannot punch fixture(work) offsets. I am able to do tools, macros, and parameters.
What am I missing?

You may not have the ability to output the work coordinates on that control. I could not find the option to do so in the manual. I have had controls that could not do work coordinates.
If you are in your coordinate screen and there is no key for output or punch then you cannot do so.

That really sucks!!!
Yes I agree. I never understood why this would be set up that way. Normally it never bothered me because my work coordinates are typically part and fixture features that could easily be set if they are lost. However with some people especially if they have the extended work coordinates then you would for sure want to be able to back them up.
There is a way of getting you values on backup though. When you do a parameter backup it does store the values from G54-G59 in parameters 1221-1226. I don’t have your manual in front of me so I am guessing on the correct parameter numbers. Take a look and see if they are the correct ones.

vmcchris,
Have you looked at the link WayneHill suggested?
IF your machine has User Macro B option, IF it has the0 G10 option, and IF it's hooked up through the RS232 port, you can output the Work Coorinate Offsets with a macro.
Looks like a workable solution to me.
The other option is as Stevo1 suggests is to output your parameters. Then you could write a Word or Excel macro to extract the correct variables and write them to a formatted text file.
Workable, but much more involved.
