Machine Builder Manual 0M control

I was wondering about where I might find a Control installation manual or some kind of manual that lists EVERY parameter for the 0M control with a description of what each bit means. I have a problem (960 NMI) with a sub cpu board and I may have lost the paramters associated with it and they are not listed in any books I have on hand. If I remove the sub cpu board the machine almost works, I just get a no number inposition alarm which i suspect is PMC generated. I think the sub cpu is doing something with the toolchanger - does anyone know what the sub-cpu is used for typically?

According to how I read the OM manual. the SUB-CPU board is for Remote buffer RS232/RS422 Communication.

I belive that what determines this, is what boards are installed on your control and how they are configured.

Each configuration is a teeny little bit different.

I have a couple sub-cpu's on my 15-MA but I think they are for graphics, FAPT or some other conversational programming function.. not sure about the RS422/RS232.

I have a 0M-C and a 0T-C but I will have to look and see again how the sub-CPU's were set up.

My 18i-MA is a little different than that too.

the part # of the board here is the first one you listed monkey A16B 1211 0320 A. it is piggyback mounted with an axes control card. the machine has a servo driven toolchanger - i don't know if this is pmc controlled or this axis card has something to do with it. right now I can get the machine up and moving if I disconnect the sup cpu/axes control card from the main board. I get an 'inposition alarm' which comes up without an alarm number much to my aggravation - how do you trace an alarm like that? I can jog or handwheel x,y&z axis with no problem. I can't run anything in MDI or MEM because of this no number alarm. If I try booting the machine with the sub-cpu/axes control cards plugged into the main board I just get a 960 NMI error right off the bat which kills everything. any ideas? My parameters (except for the ones that take special keystrokes to output - the backup didn't get those sadly) match a 2 year old backup I found from when the machine was working.

I would suspect you need to have the additional axes parameters switched on on your machine to use this card

or possibly the pmc axis control options

If you had a parameter failure then this alarm I would suspect that.

When did this first occur

the machine sat for like 6 months without being used. then they went to use it and got this 960 error. The batteries were low (1.35vdc each) but not dead. I replaced the batteries with the power on. which parameters do i need to look at? this brings me back to wanting a manual that tells all the parameters with descriptions. 0mb is the control type

So I have given up trying to fix this thing and we are going to bring in a fanuc expert. I think that the main board is problematic, in how it talks to the sub-cpu card. I want a second opinion from someone who knows more about this than I do. thanks to all the guys on here for your help tracking documentation down - if only I had more experience it might help me more.
