Need Help!- Bridgeport Romi with Fanuc OT

I need some help! I have a Bridgeport Romi with a Fanuc OT control. I am tryin to run a bar pull job. The machine had a barfeeder at one time. I cant seem to get the machine to oopen and close the chuck via the G codes (M24 open M25 closed). When I try either code in the MDI screen the chuck will actuate however the machie does not get a signal for completion. I do not want to use the sensors on the actuator. How do i go about finding what parameters control this? Im not very good at ladder diagrams so those of you who guide me down that path I ask for your paitence in advance.

Why the hell would you not use the sensors on the actuator?

Its simple. One of them is bad and Im against the wall for a delivery. I know its not the right way to do things however Im in a pinch Im hand pulling right now. Thats no fun either!

That makes more sense then I don't have a ladder for your machine, but I can tell you grainger carries prox switches in stock if you have one close to you. I usually had my customers get there replacements from there same day.

I can see the ladder! I can see it change when i activate the clamp/unclamp button on the chuck. I just have no idea what it means! Ive never had to fool with this side of the CNC control.

OK progress has been made. Both chuck actuator sensors are working. When I say working I mean the proximity light on the sensor goes out when the actuator clears the range of the sensor. When I close the chuck in MDI it works fine. The machine gets the signal the chuck is closed. When I do this to open the chuck the chuck will open however the machine does not get the signal that the chuck is open. Any ideas?

Can someone tell me where in the diagnostic parameters to look to make sure my chuck actuator sensors are working? I want to make sure they are working before I go deeper.
