Currently the company I work with is programming a series of DPRINT commands in the main program to index a Hardinge 5C indexer on the machine, via the RS232 interface. I want to change this so we can use a macro to do the work, and call the macro via an m-code. The machine is setup to use M250 for an indexer subprogram already. Code I have tried is as follows, called by M250 A? from the main program. % O9250 (HARDINGE INDEXER MACRO) POPEN G4 X.1 DPRNT[BS000.000] G4 X.1 DPRNT[BF250.000] G4 X.1 DPRNT[BB] G4 X.1 DPRNT[BS#1[33]] DPRNT[BB] G4 X2.0 PCLOS M99 % The indexer errors out with a format error on the "DPRNT[BS#1[33]]" line. I am told this indexer will only work in incremental, is that true? My goal would be to pass an absolute angle to the indexer via the m-code and not have to track the current index position. Any help is much appreciated. |
