    Fanuc 11M RS-232

I need help communicating with a Fanuc 11M on an older Hitachi Seiki machining center. I have been marginally successful. When the control is in TAPE mode, if I press Cycle Start, then initiate sending a file from the computer, the control works in DNC mode. Sort of! For some reason, the control seems to skip over the S1000 M3 to start the spindle. Any ideas?

However, what I really want to do, is send a file from the computer to the control, so that I can have the file in the control memory. Can anyone describe the correct procedure?

    Thanks.

If you want to send an email add, I can send the 10/11 RS232 manual.
You can download a free modem program from Cadem lite.
