I want to transfer programs from Fanuc 10T to my PC and vice-versa so that I might reuse them in near future. I dont have any installation CD. I have connected the transfer cables to my PC (Win XP) which obviously doesn't recognize the device. |

| You'll need some communication software. Cadem offers free DNC called NCnet Lite ftp://ftp.cadem.com/pub/trial/ncnetlite70.exe What transfer cables are you using? You'll have to make/buy a serial cable. (CNC DB25-M) <-------------> (PC DB9-F) 1 <------- (shield) ------------- no connection 2 <----------------------------> 2 3 <----------------------------> 3 7 <----------------------------> 5 4, 5 jumpered CNC end only 6, 8, 20 jumpered CNC end only After that you'll have to configure the NCnet Lite and Fanuc to match baud rate, data bits, stop bits, etc. |

| If you PM me an email add I can send you the RS232 pdf for the 10, it will tell you by parameter which port and protocol it is set for, baud rate etc. Al.

My email address is : navin2507@gmail.com My Transfer Cables are (CNC DB25-M) <----> (CNC DB25-M) <----> (CNC DB25-F) <----> (USB) I bought these cables and I tried using HyperTerminal (WIn XP) - wasnt much useful without any data on baud rate, etc. |

| You should check your cables with an ohmmeter to be sure that pinouts match the wiring diagram in my earlier post. (CNC DB25-M) <-------------> (PC DB9-F) 1 <------- (shield) ------------- no connection 2 <----------------------------> 2 3 <----------------------------> 3 7 <----------------------------> 5 4, 5 jumpered CNC end only 6, 8, 20 jumpered CNC end only Also make sure Pin 25 on the CNC end DOES NOT connect to any pin on the DB9 |
