OTC, reloaded param, now not retaining position with absolutes

I had to reload my Mori SL-15 with OTC. Got the backup direct from Mori. Everything works except when I home the machine, it zeros fine but when I walk away from the limit and turn machine off, when it fires again, it says X0, Z0. This machine has absolute encoders on it (red cap) and usually does not need a zero return before making parts. Mori is baffled at this point. Everything else works though. Jogs fine, spindle runs fine, etc. Just not sure on this one...

^^^ what he said. You are on the right track with param 1815. The 0 is param 21 which were not set for absolute encoders for some reason. My backup settings were right but for some reason param 21 was not right. I went ahead and zeroed out param 22 so when I get it loaded next time, it will alarm for needing a zero return and that should be easier than having to bypass the soft limits when first firing up.

All in all, things went smoother than I expected but should be a 10 min deal next time.
