    Fanuc 11m parameter write protect

I have been searching on here on how to unlock the 8000 parameter so that I can change other parameters. One other note, the edit mode does not work either. The write protect switch is enabled, and I check the connections to it. I can background edit, but not in regular edit mode. I just got the machine a couple of weeks ago. I looked and found a switch on the main board, but that did not work. Thanks for the ideas,

    Brian

    Hi,

Press EMERGENCY STOP button. Press "SETTINGS" softkey twice to get "SETTING(SETTING)" screen.
Type in "8000" then press "INP-NO".
Parameter number 8000 should appear on the screen.
Type "10000001" and press "INPUT". Alarm " SW000 PARAMETER ENABLE SWITCH ON " will appear.

That worked, I got the parameters changed and that fixed the other problem. Thanks a lot.
