Hi, I am working on a cincinatti milacron sabre 500. The control is a Fanuc 0MC and also has Fanuc 6s spindle drive. This machine was shorted out by and idiot and it lost all of its parameters. I have been able to get the machine back to running and moving with one remaining problem. The machine will home out and jog and run but, if I run the spindle it will run at speed for 40 seconds and then faults out and drive shows al#29 (short-time overload). I have checked and watched the current with a meter and there is never any change in load when it faults out. If I start the spindle and keep changing speeds with the override buttons it will keep running until I leave it at one speed for 40 seconds. The spindle wont orient either. It only uses the encoder on the motor and I have checked the encoder signals and they appear good. I think that there may be a problem with the drive parameters but they get loaded by the NC when it gets powered up. The problem I am having is that I cannot find where those parameters come from in the control. If anyone has any clues, please let me know. I am stuck. Thanks, Tom |

| HI the problem is very hard to find but i had something almost the same with 1 spindle also was not orientating and also alarm. i solved after sometime of hard work very easy i changed 2 wires between them on motor suply(R,S,T) i know is make no sense but it worked since than. so try it will be no damage. if not is something wrong with the encoder. GOOD LUCK! |

| you need to have clockwise phase rotation for L1,L2,L3 Ac voltage supply for spindle it may be not important for axis ( depends on drive ) but if you can go ref , jog its ok , check the supply and chang 2 phase ,...dont worry always happen ! F.Sharifi |

| HI Is not recomanded to change L1 L2 L3 if the machine is working properly cause if u have a hidraulic cooling of the spindle will not work or if the atc use a DC motor will go in the oposite direction on tool change. try to change on ly on spindle motor 2 phases. GOOD LUCK! |
