Hi I have a Hitachi Seiki Lathe that I am planning on retrofitting a new control but I am having a hard time finding specs on the motors. Gettys-Fanuc Permanent magnet DC Servo Motor Type 10 -1/4 no. D-710924 Gettys-Fanuc Permanent magnet DC Servo Motor Type 0-2/5 no. D-770750 There is one more drive but the plate in in a difficult place to see. I will have that one out soon and will be able to give that info as well. Does anyone have any info on these drives? Also It has a Fanuc 3000T Controller. I have no Manuals or schematics on that too. Can anyone give me any direction for info on this old of a control as well? Thanks |

| The 10 is one size larger than the 5, I may have info on it if I can find it later. IIRC it is twice the rating of the 5. Al.

| While we are on this subject, I always wondered about the difference between the 10S/3000 and the regular 10S servo motors. A06B-0315 and A06B-0317. I have seen the 3000 manuals somewhere on ebay Greg |

| 10S 1.8Kw 2.4Hp 2000rpm --- 10S/3000 2.3Kw 3.1Hp 3000rpm. Rated Torque: both the same. Basically one is 2000rpm the other 3000. Al.

| It's essentially the same motor right, well except for the kW, Speed and HP ratings? Mine are the 10S type on the machines that use the digital servo amp. A06B-6058 S type servo amps. There are some of the 10S's that have a # with a 7*** number after it. Greg |

| I don't have any info on the 3000T connections or drives. Some sytems are fitted with resolvers or encoders, also on some, tach's were used, which is not usually necessary now if changing drives. Around a 140~180vdc supply needed, and a 15amp drive for the 0 and 30amp for the 5. Al.

| Thanks for all the replies. I have been able to find tons of information on the Type 5 servo but still cannot get much info on the Type 10 motor. What kind of drives and models are people using to retrofit to these types of motors? |

| The type 10 motor is an "S" series motor and requires the FANUC S series drives so if you are going to stick with the FANUC drives. They are the A06-6058-H004,-H005 and--H006 as they are most popular. You might want to consult with FANUC if you want to know more about them. 1-800-GEFANUC is the number. There are S series Spindle motors too. They use drives A06B-6059. These are great if you use a servo driven spindle. Read the B-65005 manual on the AC Servo Motors. Maybe Al or Dan has one. I'll look to see if I still have mine otherwise Bill P. (memoryman) might. There are two types of the 10S. One is a 2000 motor the other is a 3000 motor. The 3000 motor is called a 10S/3000 and has the part number A06B-0317. The other 10S motor is a A06B-0315. I am not sure but there might be other 10 motors ie 10-0 or 10M (a DC motor), etc. You can get a lot of these items on eBay if you watch carefully for units in your price range. Be careful to get servo drive units with the top boards. Otherwise those are A20B-1003 part numbers and are either 1 axes or 2 axes top boards with a Honda connector CN1. other than that if you need servo cables they are in Arizona, http://www.fanuccables.com and are around $275 or less for a 45' (or shorter) cable. This is a cable with 4 conductors and a MS connector and terminals on the other end. Read your connection manual and give them your cable part numbers. I've used them for most of my FANUC servo cables. Greg |
