Blinking error light Fanuc 10T

Hello I have a freind that bought a older Mori seiki SL-15 turning center. After hooking up power to the machine the "error" light on the front of the controller is blinking. He says there is no alarms on the CRT so he is at a loss as to what it could be. The chip convayor works and the chuck will clamp and unclamp but other than that it will not do anything. Just wondering if anyone might have some idea as to what it could be . Thanks for any help!!

Spindle drive alarm, axis drive alarm, door lock, turret problem. Check those first.

Oh, and if the phase is backwards, may be getting a cooler alarm. And find out if the machine had a barfeeder.

I think it did have a bar feeder .

well, you may be in for a lot of work if it did, usually barfeeds are interfaced in to the Estop circuit, chuck clamp circuit, and sometimes a lot more depending on what barfeed type was on it. Look in the back cabinet for a toggle switch that says B/F, need to make sure it's off it has one.

Look for low fluids.. coolant, way & spindle oil, etc. Make sure they are good and full. I have had SL's before, they are great machines.

Which "error light" is it?

This is the friend that had the problem.

The machine came on after findings some loose connections. Now I have found out the x axis ball screw is gaulded. Always nice buying used equipment. I posted some questions about it.

some days ago i had the same no allarmbut a redl led blinking.

is no alarm on crt but the machines said all the time u have not made the reference

so all the time is only for not to put in automatic witout refernece point

after making reference when u press RESET it dissapear

if u press RESET witout making referfence will not dissapeear so was just a led with no alarm

maybe help
