Need Help!- Ikegai ANC20 with 5T G71 Roughing Cycle

I have an ikegai ANC20 lathe with a Fanuc 5T control, LED no CRT and I am trying to program a G71 roughing cycle. When the control gets to the G71 cycle it just sits there & does nothing. The manual has examples of the G71 cycle which I have followed G71 P__ Q___ U__ W__ D___ F___. It can do a G90 roughing ?. Anyone tell what it or I'm doing wrong.

try 2-block G71:

G71 U_ R_;
G71 P_ Q_ U_ W_ F_;

Make sure that the profile is defined properly, starting from P-block number and ending at Q-block number. The P-block should not have any Z- or W-word (unless you have G71 type II on your machine). If nothing works, post your program.

Thanks, but this control is older than the 2 line G71 (F15 format I think they call it). Was this maybe an optional cycle back then or was it a standard cycle ? & how would I check ?.

I don't think G71 is on your machince, option the company didn't want to buy at the time.

ok that is possible. How can I check or where do I check to see if it came with the cycle or not. We bought this machine used.
