Need Help!- need to unlock 9000 series programs

Need to unlock 9000 series programs for outputting to pc for backup purpose from fanuc oi control. Was able to output all other programs and parameters without any issues.

On the Fanuc OM series control, You need parameter #0010 bit #4 to be a 0 to edit 9000's programs and 1 to protect the programs.

ex.
0010= 10010001 9000 Protect on
0010= 10000001 9000 Protect off.

If you have a parameter manual for the Oi control, look under the Marco programing section, it should e listed there.

If you can not edit the 9000's programs, it will not punch out the 9000's programs.

For the 0-i, set parameter 3202 bit 4 = 0. Be aware that while this parameter is 0, you can delete the 9000 programs, too.

Thanks for the help. 3202 was the # bit#4 to 0 enable the 9000s to be output for backup. Changed back to 1 as soon as completed. Is it necessary to backup the PMC parameters also?

3202.4 is only for 9000 series. PMC parameters should back up fine regardless of 3202.

Understood. I just wasn't sure if the PMC parameters is something I should backup or in case of a catastrophic failure, if the machine tool builder would have a copy for restoration.
