I have a machine with a Fanuc OM-A control machine was running then droped out ...No alarms what so ever , machine will not come on now . I have no idea where to look .Input voltage is within spes.Control will not latch in. Where should I look ..What secquence should I follow to get machine to come on .Please help I know you wonderfull people have the knowledge to fix this . Thanks to all |

Does the CRT stay on? If yes, then it is most likely some external device with a problem (Axis drive or spindle drive etc.). If No, then look for a short on the 24Volt system as that will drag the power supply down. If the 24 Volt system isn't shorted that indicates a power supply problem. The supply has small test points on the bottom. One of them is labeled A10, which is the 10 volt reference for the entire supply. This should read exactly 10 volts and should not drift.
