Hi all,
I have a Mitek mill with a fagor 8025 controller and Glentek brush type servo drives. When drilling with the Z axis, drill load was too high causing a following error and subsiquently the machine stopped. This has happened on ocation before, and simply hitting the E-stop and starting over was all that was necessary. This time, after restarting the Rapid override doesn't work when using the axis control buttons in Jog mode. I did a quick Teach in of M00, and rapids worked, so it seems the problem is limited to manual/jog input.
I bought this machine used a few years ago, and haven't been able to reach Mitek since just after I bought it. I can only assume they aren't around anymore.
I'm a machinist, not an electronics or maintinance guy, and while I'm fairly good at diagnosing problems, I don't know where to start with this. All fuses I can find are fine, not sure if there is a breaker/reset hiding somewhere. There are a few components in the enclosure I'm not sure of, and therefore can't identify what parts are involved.
I've included a picture of the enclosure showing the components.
Thanks to all, any advise is greatly appriciated. |
