| CaptDave: if you double click on where it says COM1 in WinDnc setup it should open a window with the available ports. My laptop shows COM3,COM4 in WinDnc when I open the window. I did re-map my usb to Com3. although I'm not sure that was necessary. Jerry |

| I got the blue box to open and it shows COM 6, right or left click, double tap and it will not change for COM 1 to 6. Another point, in the set up, local, I select 8025T and ok, then setup for the device 8025T and then save it, close the program and restart it shows at the bottom 8055. I have to go back and change it in the local line to a 8025T. |

CaptDave: No that is the only way. I tried to duplicate your problem with the Com ports and sure enough it woudn't let me change ports. I closed it out and went back in and it let me change the ports. So I don't know what the heck is going on. There may be some kind of conflict in the port addressing. Make sure there isn't something else trying to use that port. Some programs can be set up to automaticaly grab a port and not let it go until they'er told to. I don't think WinDnc tells you when you have a port conflict. Jerry |
