File transfer 8025TG

I need a little help with setting up file transfer, this is the first time I have tried to use it. The software I'm using is Ezatrol, which is mainly used for Mazak controls but was told that it will work with other controls as well. I can send files to a device from the NC but can't receive them.

On OP mode 7, when I try to receive from a device it locks up an requires the control to be turned off then back on. It will do it even without the cable attached to the port. On a side note I can't get the DNC option to come on, not sure it needs to be on but I think that in the past it did come on but never tried to use it and can't be for sure.

Can't help much on file transfer. My 8025TG has a built in floppy drive. The only problem I've had is transfering a file writen on my computer then transfering it to the controller. What I do is write the program then transfer it via floppy to the computer to save it.

The dnc option it´s only for use with the windnc program. Download it from fagor automation web site the dnc software it´s free and you can transfer any files you want. I attached the link where you can download the soft.

I would like to get the software working that I already have and use with the Mazak as opposed to using 2 different programs. If that isn't possible, I'll use WinDNC.

Yes you can use other software. But in fagor the dnc mode is only for Fagor dnc software. if you want to transfer a fiole with aother soft you must sincronize the transmision between the cnc and the pc. Honestly I recomend you to use the windnc. It´s easy and you can see the program directoy from the pc. It´s an online soft, you can send o receive without any syncronization. You have the rs232 communication cable?

Op Mode 7, you have to make sure DNC is OFF, then select OP Mode 2 or 3 depending whether sending or receiving. This is what I have to do to when using Procomm or HyperTerminal on my laptop.

Glad I found this thread. I've been working on getting a Fagor 8025 control to work with Mastercam post processing but it looks like the WinDNC route will be the way to go.

I'll grab a copy tonight and try it tomorrow.

How do you upload a PLC program to the PLC on the Fagor 8025?

I am fairly new to the Fagor world. I hear buzz words like "PLC 64", but I can't find such software available for download anywhere. I have used the WinDNC software to upload parameters, etc., but it does not allow me to upload a PLC program...
