We purchased a lathe with the Fagor 8025 control. When we powered it up, the controller had reset to default due to battery being dead. We replaced the battery, but my knowledge on getting this thing back up and running is VERY limited. I have a small amount of experience with Centroid control on a 3 axis mill. I am now getting "Backlash" errors on power up and I cannot do anything or turn anything on even manually. I can run the motor thru the frequency drive only. Nothing from the control screen. I could use all the help I can get. I am not a computer guy, but since I am the only one that can work on these machines, I'm the one to fix them. Again, HELP Thanks. rtaylor@ceelectronics.com |

| Unfortunately, with the dead battery you lost your control parameters. Do you have them documented anywhere? If not they have to be re- programed according to the manual and machine needs. It cost me $800 to have a Fagor tech do the job, at the machine. |

| Apart from the parameters, if you have the built in PLC version, you could also have lost the PLC program and recorded M codes, if you do not have backup or hard copy of each, then you will need to get them from someone with Identical machine. If it was a one-off retro fit, you may have to have someone re-commission it. Al.

| I lost everything and had no backups or anything written down. I have the main program back in now with some outside help, but, I now need to set up the backlash and other peramiters that go along with the machine, and I have no idea where or how to do this. So I am struggling along and looking for help. Thanks all |

| Well Fagor have all the manuals for the various 8025 series on their site, from maintenance, part programming PLC, and parameter commissioning. I suggest you down load these if you haven't already done so. Al.
