Dear all Thank you very much for this Forum -the information getting together is just awesome. I have some question about this control, because of considering to buy this control for a cnc retrofit. I could buy a used one. -What would you pay (fair for both side) for a used fully working control? (assumed, take from a working machine, in standard version, no options) -What about spare parts, if anything does happens to the electronic? Are there spare parts around? What do i have to expect in comparisen to Siemens (older spare parts are very expensiv) if they have some fault? -Can the 8050m 5 axis simultan TCP 3d correction , if yes, what cost this options - aproximately? -Or at least 4th axis rotary table simultan? -Possible of Jerk Control - SCurve? -What cost the digitizing Option? -Are the Touchprobe cycle standard or options? -Is it possible to add a pendant ? -What do you think about the CNCScreen Home Page -- Pages and Symbols FAGOR 8050/55--DNC -Is there a tool to PLC programming? In ladderlogic or highlanguage. -I often hear the Fagor's are a bit easier to work with, like Siemens - What do you think? -Is it possible to feed large cam parts to the control? What are the limit? -And at last, if (or not) you can compare to other - do you like this control for the daily work with not complicated parts? Thank you all for answering the one ore two questions. Kind regards Martin |

| 1) An 8050 retrofit is $15000 Canadian new - used I don't know. 2) Call Fagor and ask the other questions. They have always been extremely helpful with me.

| If your retrofitting an good machine and you want good 5 axis performance, go with a newer 8055 controller, they are much faster than the 8050's and Fagor offers all the options to upgrade the control. 8050's are pretty old controls now and the 8055's are so much better. |
