    WinDNC and Linux

Has anybody managed to use WinDNC on a Linux based PC?
I have been using WinDNC on a windows based PC for 3 years. I like it because I don't have to walk back and forwards between the PC and the lathe so much and it is free. I want to start to use LINUX instead in the workshop but I keep getting an error when I try to install WinDNC on the Linux machine using WINE.
Any help on this would be much appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Dan.

I've got it to install with just one error ( on line 309 dderaw.cpp ) and it will not fire up - though it tries. So no joy yet I'm afraid. Mind, if you are simply transferring files you do not need WinDNC. Use a FTP client instead. I use fireFTP as an addon in FF.
