I keep receiving an ERROR 040 R1-R2 message when trying to perform a 2 axis profile cut. As long as I generate a 3 axis profile everything posts correctly and the cut paths run great. If I want to cut a 4" circle using the "Generate 2 axis" option in BobCad the post appears to generate correctly but when executed I get the ERROR 040 message. According to my fagor users manual, the 040 error reads "The circle programmed does not pass through the defined end point (tolerance 10 microns, 0.005 inch). The arc defined by G08 or G09 does not exist". I have no idea what this means and with it being such an old controller there isnt much help available. Can anyone provide any insight on a solution for this? The post below was generated for a 4" circle using a 2D ramping tool path, .125" depth of cut. Running this file will throw the 040 error.
