Fagor 8030mg and torque control
Hi, cutting a long story short I just bought a Fagor 8030m control and used it to retrofit a Bridgeport, I am using Parker OEM motors (brushless DC) which are torque control. Just got it all set up and the servos are so sluggish as to be unusable. The PID settings P114 P115 and P116 make almost no difference and even with the gain set at maximum the following error must be in the order of 2 or 3 millimeters. The question is will this control work with torque control, I know it works fine with velocity control or am I missing something. Originally I had this set up with Mach3 and a CSMIO/a controller and the drives worked well with that and now I wondering if I should revert back or find some cheap DC drives. I hope someone out there with more knowledge than me can shed some light on this. Cheers Dave
