this not Work for me
Simplified connection is 2 to 3, 3 to 2, 5 to 5 and on each subD connection jump 4, 6, and 8 together. This will work for all 8055 controls (except for Eprom style, very old 8055 that came out right after the 8050)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
this Works on my 8055 tc control whit Eprom --- I am happy now .. remeber hit initalize softkey
for 8055 with eprom or 8050 and older cnc fagor controls, the pin out is 2 to 2; 3 to 3; 5(pc)to 7(cnc); at cnc side join 5-6-9; at pc side join 8-6-4.
set serial comunication parameters to their default value (hit initialize softkey) or try the comunication with windnc at 9600boudrate
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
for 8055 eprom series or 8055 and older cnc fagor controls, the cable pinout is 2 to 2; 3 to 3; 5(pc) to 7(cnc); join 4-6-8 at pc side; join 5-6-9 at cnc side;
try thye comunication at 9600 baudrate all other parameter to default.
kind regards

Hi, Greatings from Portugal
Need help with ethernet communication on windows 7
Thanks
Instructions I got for setting our 8055 up
TCP/IP HARD DISK & ETHERNET SETUP
FAGOR 8055
( Direct to a PC using a crossover cable )
( The IP addresses used are for example purposes only, other IP addresses may be used )
CNC PARAMETERS
P1 = 0
P2 = FAGORCNC (ANY NAME TO IDENTIFY THE HARD DISK)
P22 = 1 (Sets communications to RS232/Serial 2 and Ethernet , disables RS422)
P24 ( DIRIP ) = 10.1.1.2 ( IP Address of the CNC )
P25 ( NetMask ) = 255.255.255.0 ( Must be set in PC as Subnet Mask )
P26 ( IPGateway ) = 10.1.1.1 ( IP Address of the PC ) or ( IP Address of the Server )
P27 ( IPSWDNC ) = 10.1.1.1 ( IP Address of the PC the CNC will use for DNC )
WINDOWS XP SETTINNGS
1. CLICK ON “Control Panel”
2. CLICK ON “Network Connections”
3. CLICK ON “Local Area Connection”
4. CLICK ON “Internet Protocol(TCP/IP)”
5. CLICK ON “Properties”
6. CLICK ON “Use the following IP address”
7. Enter in the IP Adress “ 10.1.1.1
8. Enter the Subnet mask “ 255.255.255.0 “
9. CLICK ON “OK”
To Drag and Drop files from PC to CNC
1. Open “WINDOWS EXPLORER”
2. In the ADDRESS line type in FTP://10.1.1.2
3. CLICK ON “Disk”
4. CLICK ON “prg”
( This will bring up a list of the programs in the CNC )
To create a shortcut on the DESKTOP of your PC
1. CLICK ON the icon in the address bar of explorer that is right before the ftp://10.1.1.2 that
you previously typed in , drag that to your desk top and drop it.
WINDNC 4.0 (and higher) Connection
In SETUP -
1. Double Click the TYPE window and select “NETWORK NODE”
2. Connect on Startup – double click the box to enter “X”
3. Double Click the IP ADDRESS window and type in “10.1.1.2”
( This allows the WinDNC program to send and receive files just as if a serial cable were connected, just MUCH faster.)
