Red face CAM Simulation OK but........

I have AlibreCAM and when simulating the program looks very good but the machine(Fadal 88 HS) doesn't follow the post . What gives? Any ideas? I'm sure I haven't set/done something. I did a simple rectangle and it was fine but this 2 1/2D countoured part doesn't work.

Sounds like the post processing file needs some modification.

I have a Fadal with the 88HS control. I use the Fadal post in Alibrecam but I'm wondering if I should be or not. There are 2 formats for a Fadal according to the machine. Fadal and one of the Fanuc systems ,I think it is. I'm going to try the Fanuc posts and see what the code differences are around line 126 where it goes off course.. I think.LOL!!!!

That was the beginning and it does fine till line 70 Ithink it is. It begins the program by doing linear moves to face and then goes to circular facing moves. That is where it goes wrong. The table just travels diagonally instead of doing the circular move till it e-stops at y limit.

masterfabr, the R is not compatible with the I and J. The Fadal can use either - or, but not both. I would stick with the I and J. More robust.

EDIT: Actually, I took a closer look at the code and I can't figure out what the R value is doing there. It doesn't match the Radius value. Wierd. Also, the H0 at the beginning is basically cancelling the height offset.

EDIT2: Also noticed a K value in there too. That shouldn't be necassary when milling the XY plane (G17)

R is for the beginning Z motion dimension.K is depth of cut. At first I was thinking R related to radius but that's not the case. I know nothing about codes though. It ,to me ,looks strange but what do I know. Anyone here running a Fadal and AlibreCAM? DO you have post issues using the Fadal post in AlibreCAM? What have I done wrong?

solution found. I had I,J,K and radius chosen in the post generator under the circles tab and I should have had only radius chosen. It seems to be right now. I hope to do a test cut tomorrow. LOL!!!

The I, J, and K when used with a G2 or G3 indicates a sephrical or #d circlular interpolation. The Fadal control can not do that. It can only do a two axis arc in either G17, G18 or G19 planes. The arc also can not cross planes.

I will send you my modified PP.
VisualMill and AlibreCam use the same.
Mine is for format 2.
