| OK...yesterday was not a good day. First off few months back I had the servo coolant off the machince and also had to replaced the a resistor in the AMP/controler ...see...(http://www.cnczone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=69566) So... started up the machine yeaterday to start adjusting the tool changer (it was off also) and the z axis height (also off) and the "X axis fault error" popped up! ($%#&!!) anyway! just had it on a hour before with no problems! Did the reset stuff to no avail. and can jog the otheer axis. Cannot "CS" of course with the X AMP error message or this one I've never seen before"waiting while slides are positioning at sero.....press manual to abort...working...*" That's a new one! Not sure yet what that is all about and will swap boards this morning. My question is this... on start up the servo AMP for the coolant seems to be working fine red LED turns to green but.... moves right away toward the spindle until it hits the limit then sits there. Putting my hand on the nozzel I can feel the servo humming like its under loan and still trying to move. It doesnt respond to the manual knob. Seems like I need to adjust a pot our something but not sure how to go about that? ![]() Steve |

![]() I switched AMP's for checking my X axis problem. I have a dead AMP in the X axis no red LED or obviously a green one. Seems to be a power transisor problem at least. I have some one to check it maybe in the next few days or will get a new one. Thatis unless someone out there has any other ideas I can check. Steve Steve |
