Angry Lube Lines !!!???

I am in the the process of putting my 4020 back together after replacing the saddle and table Turcite. I flipped the saddle over the other day and noticed the one lube line was loose. I cleaned out the hole and line, then re-epoxyed it in place with some Waylock that I have left over from the Turcite job. Now I am worried about the other lines. I am thinking about removing all the copper lines. Drilling and tapping all the holes for push to connect fittings, and running nylon everywhere. I already ordered the lines and fittings from MSC. I just can't make up my mind, if I want to do it, or not. Has anyone else done this?

I drilled and tapped all the holes. I will run the line next week, and finally set the saddle in!

How did the push to connect lube lines work out for you? I am thinking of doing this to my machine. Seems like a clean and easy way to run way lube lines.

question

I know this is an old post, but how did the push connects work under the table?I have my 4020 apart right now and cant figure how you managed to clear the saddle without using copper lines and those godawful diecast fittings.

I only used the push to connect fitting on the saddle. I let the copper lines on the table. They are more secure than the mess that is in the saddle. I wouldn't worry about them moving. I think I might have put more epoxy on them where they enter the casting, but I'm not sure anymore. I'm trying to forget that whole nightmare... I did replace both manifolds (saddle and table) and all the metering valves. Mine worked fine, but they are relatively cheap and I didn't want to risk one malfunctioning later and ruining my new Turcite.

That is usually an issue with tool change system.
- air valve itself could be seized.
- Drawbar cylinder could have issues
- drawbar sensor may be bad
- belleville washers may be stuck.
- tool holder may be fretted into the spindle
