| To follow up on my question with my understanding I have now. 4050F is the same as plain 4050. 4050 is the stack length and diameter. F is for Fadal FS is for Fadal Short and these were used with the rotary heads. thank you for info David |

I worked directly with Glentek with its development, we used FS to signify "Fadal Short". We needed to have a 4050 motor as short as possible for the A-axis so it didn't push out the door with a full Y+ move. The feed back end of the motor was made as short as possible. The "40" is the diameter and 50 is the stack length of the magnets/windings. So the 4020 motor has the same diameter as the 4050 motor but a shorter stack length. The "F" designation was added to the original 4050 motor when the "FS" was first introduced. The MTR-0003 was introduced with a crimp-tight connector in order to help seal the motor... david@vmcelectric.com
