fadal fourth axis newbie

hi, everybody, i am new to fourth axis i have been working on cnc milling machine for about 5 years and in this new job they want me plug and program
this fourth axis, it is never been used in any of the six fadals they had it for a while but never plugged, can some of you fadal experts help me out on how to connect it to the machine and a short sample program with the A axis moves would be very helpful I think it is just a positioning indexer withe plug for the cnc conexion so it rotates only to position it self at certain angle but it wouldnt feed while rotating, so i should be able to learn how to machine with it but any extra tips and warnings! are much appreciated thank you for sharing your expertise.

Do you have a machine that is pre-wired AND has a 4th axis card?
What model is it?

Yes, is your machine pre-wired for 4th axis and does it have the axis card and amplifier card? There is a program [(TA,2) (5815) change F to 1000 or 2000] which can test the rotary table.

I suppose you have the Amp and Controller card intalled in the machine;
type SETP
change the parameter to XYZA
Shot down the machine,
plug in the TR
CS the machine and the A axis will show at right of the screen.

I'm a self-proclaimed guru of fadal 4th axis usage.. We have made over a hundred thousand parts on our 4th axis'..Also made a billet steel crankshaft for a 4cyl race engine using only a fadal 4th axis. Call me with any problems/questions at 214 385 7102, please call in the afternoon Texas time.....
