    Default Newbie questions

I have some simple questions as I am learning about CNC operations and Fadal stuff in general as I see a small Fadal in my future...

On a cold start, you get the machine "close" to home using the indicators...what happens to all of your tool offsets? I cannot imagine you have to reset the tool offsets every time you power up the machine..just trying to wrap my ahead around a machine that does not need home switches.

    Thanks

May have figured this one out watching a video...is it the tool coordinate system that you change? For example I have 20 tools in my tool holder with the correct offsets, power up the machine, use a tool to set height on my part in the vise, then change a master tool offset which adjusts all of the others? The way I see myself using the machine is not replication of parts, but more prototyping...so I would have standard tools in the machine....

UPON STARTUP THE MACHINE DOES NOT KNOW WHERE IT IS AT.SO THE CS COMMAND ORIENTS THE TABLE SO THE MACHINE KNOWS WHERE IT IS AT.IT HAS NO EFFECT ON YOUR FIXTURE OR TOOL OFFSETS.

Unless the battery on the mainboard is bad you will have not lose any stored data. CS is a repeatable procedure used for verification purposes.
