Our 8030 (with a multi-processor cnc) is at times having problems seeing the glass scales. Every so often when we turn it on, the home position is off by about .080", and the control doesn't seem to recognize there are supposed to be glass scales. We then have to turn the machine off and try again (it usually works on the 2nd try). My problem is, there doesn't seem to be a status screen that shows if they are functioning or not. We always have to go to a known spot on the table to verify all 3 axis are correct every time we start the machine. Does anyone know of a memory location that can be checked in some fashion to see if the control thinks it's using the scales or not? Thanks. |
