    servo amplifier

    came in this morning and powered machine up had a servo error #18 on z axis while trying to get rid of error now have on all three axis same error. machine ran fine day before . we do have some fairly high humidity now would that have anything to do with it? any help to fix this problem whould be helpful

    this is on a 98 fadal 4020 vmc with 88hs control and baldor drives

    AS a stater--Check the DC buss voltage at the amps. Measure across B+/B-. You have AC servos so you should read 300/320 volts DC. Also check the AC ripple on the DC buss. You should have no morfe than 1/2 volts.
