Been awhile, been busy makin parts...until today. Machine is a 95 VMC 15 Y axis was acting a bit weird, thought the heat was getting to it, so opened the cabinet to get some air to the boards. Never even had a chance to make any chips, as I would get a Y axis resolver fault/over temp fault. RE-set a few times, never would take. So I thought I would have a look see at the Y axis, and the motor is blistering hot, cannot holod my hand on the case for more than a few seconds. So are my fears that the motor is shot going to come true, or is their an somewhat easy fix? Thanks, Smitty |

| So called my local FADAL pro, come to find out, when I set my HOME position, I set it at the limit of the Y axis, so when it is just sitting there, the servo is actually still pushing at the home spot, hence the insane heat. So, put it all back together, re-set the home position for the Y, backed it off a couple hun, and runs like a champ. Hope this helps someone else, Take care, Smitty |
