finish setting up machine. done few pieces machine running fine and after changing tool z axis coming down made noise like someone jogging the axis aggressively crashed right in job. after that tool in spindle read T35 when it picked up T1. any help. Thanks in advace.my program reads T6M6 G0G90E1X0Y.4A0S480M3 Z1.0H1 G81G98Z-.030R.1F2.0M8 G91A20.0L17 G80M9M5 G28G91Z0 M01 AND SO ON M30 Last edited by bala955; 05-08-2009 at 09:25 PM. |

| I am not good with incremental moves as I very rarely use them, however you dont have a G90 to cancle the G91 befoe the next tool, not canceling the g91 will cause crash's I have no clue about the tool changer reading differently being affected by a G91. see no G90 to cancle the G91 before the M01 G91A20.0L17 G80M9M5 G28G91Z0 M01 Typically a runaway is cause by a resolver/tach going bad and loosing its signal |

| I am the master of using incremental movements (with cutter comp) cuz I hand type programs for multiple parts at the machine. The G90/G91 at tool change time looks like this for me: G0Z10.M5(METRIC, NOT 10 INCHES...) G0G91G28Z0 T2M6 G0G90GE1X0Y0S3000M3 G43Z10.H2M8 G1Z0F1000 I know I write G0's back to back, but this is the rutine I use so I can easily start a program in ther middle with "start at cursor line" command, if I use option 3(with modals) it can take 30 mins to scroll through the program to get there.. If your machine zero is where it should be, and no lenght mistakes ect, ur machine wetn crazy then-lucky for you it is fixable, resolver for DC or encoder for AC machines(make sure wires are good first) |

| 3rd line of your code!!!! You are basically calling tool 6 but then on the 3rd line you go to z.1 h1 and are now using height offset #1. You said t35 and then it went to tool 1...are you using a side mount tool changer?

| HOLY BALLS Tool 6 with height 1 is ok if you set it up that way but maybe you missed the above posts. Way too many things going on in that blue line the control isnt going to allow all that in one line.

| just curious, do you reset the modals before you start a new program? i always do, but I hear wierd things can happen if you don't. also, I realize you are using incremental posit., but we always use a "safe line" at the beginning of each program, just in case. we use " g0 g90 g80 g49 g40 g17" maybe this will help? as far as the t35 bit, I dunno...
