It does not surprize me that after selling a machine full of promises, which have yet to be realized, Fadal is doing such a poor job of informing it's existing customers of the ongoing changes.
Like many others, I have been disapointed and frustrated. That is why a forum like this is so important for 104d consumers to share the knowlege and "work arounds" until such time as Fadal gets their act together.
One very valuable peice of information which was neglected involves the use of G8.
As some know, Fadal is/was using a new code G8.1 With the newest software update VLF will work with G8.1 but G8.1 is non modal. The G8.1 will default to G8 after a new feedrate call unless G8.1 is respecified by placing G8.1 on or below each feedrate call.
Don't get too comfortable. I believe Fadal will be swapping G8 and G8.1 with the next software update.
