Im new to Fadal machines, never run one before only Haas controlles. The problem im having is I don't know how to send a program from my computer to the control. Im using OneCNC (which im also new too, I was taught on MasterCam) and believe that im sending the program from the computer the right way. It acts like its sending the program but there is no program that shows up in the memory on the machine. I've tried looking in the manual and following the instructions for loading a program from a punchcard or computer but still no luck. Its a 1996 4020 if that helps at all. Thanks for the imput. | yes, i used the TA,1 command. I tried again this morning and it loaded a program number but when i tried to go in and look at the program the only thing that showed up was N000.10(?). I tried to look at it using the page command, maybe this was the wrong area to do this? I deleted the program from the library to try again and now it wont load the program again. Like I said before, i went to school and we had all haas macines and am unfamiliar with this control, and i dont really know of any one who can show me what i need to do. thanks for the input |

Well lets start at the top. did you verify baud rate, bit parity ect? Are you sure your using the right pinout on the rs232?

| FWIW I wouldn't use 9600 baud (waste of time on large transfers). Set the machine default to at least 38K . From the Fadal command prompt type "setP" and set the default baud rate. Turn off the Fadal and on again to ensure the baud rate is loaded. Make sure your Com software is set correctly Settings should be Format ASCII Port Com 1 - this may change depending on the computer port Baud rate 38K - same as you set in the machine Parity Even Data Bits 7 Stop Bits 1 Handshake XON/XOFF Now you should be able to transfer using TA,1,1
