Newbie- I need advices !!!

hello, i've been machining for couple years now im planning to go into programing using mastercam, so which version is the best to learn? does mastercam calculate the speed and feed for us also? if not then is there a good program to calculate it? please guide me, thank you !!!

...of the new CAM programs calculate feeds and speeds. However, keep in mind that optimal conditions only apply to the numbers they come up with. There are dozens of conditions that can vary those numbers. That is where the expertize and knowledge of the programmer make for a usable program.

MCX and newer is totally different from 9, why waste your time learning an obsolete version. I learned on 9 and can't do squat with XII.

I would recommend MCAM X3.
