    Assist windows 2000

I am trying to upgrade computors at work to gain direct access to our servers to store programs and to get programs from mastercam on another computor in the supervisors office. The new one is an intel 866mhz with windows 2000. The problem is the screen saver for assist scrolls by so fast I cant get into the opening screen. Is there some way to turn off this screen saver? I found out that the speed of the screen saver speeds up with processor speed when I upgraded from a 386 16mhz to a 486 100mhz about a dozen years ago. I have read all the threads on assist in this forum that I found, and some are running it on newer machines and operating systems, man they must have fast fingers.

    Thanks
    Tim

In the properties of the ASSIST.EXE file you can disable the screen saver.

Thanks for the info. I opened up properties and found where it had screen saver and unchecked it, still scrolls by. Anything else I can try?
