Power inverter Hello all,
Please, I need help ASAP. We just recieved a used Fadal CNC 88 VMC 4020.
The power inverter, a Baldor, has an error message we can't get rid of.
Error message: Fault Bus Overvoltage.
I'll try to give all pertinent info. The machine was connected by certified electricians
These are the no's I can find on it.
Sticker states: INV -0052
Inverter, Baldor 10HP NCL
Replaces REM -0094, Rem-0078
Requires INV-0004 Dual 13ohm Regen
Cat.# Fadal 2151 Spec# FVF 1915C-31
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

We found the problem. The machine came from MN, where I belive it ran on 440v, whereas, here in TX we run 220v. The machine was wired inproperly for this, though we'd been told otherwise.

Changing voltage is one of the primary things you look at before you even get the machine off the truckIf you are having and other machines come in use a different electrician.
To err is human...to screwup is certifiable
We have had good luck with our Fadals milling mostly soft steel and aluminum up to 5 axis. We are always looking for spare parts :) If you have a broken down Fadal give a shout.
The electricians where hire to run cable and connect the machine to the panel, which they did. The machine seller guaranteed the machine to be wired correctly for our voltage. we had no reason to doubt this. (On this machine, there are 21 different possible electrical connections.) This seems to be only the first of many things that are not what they should be.
Lesson to be learned--- trust yourself and verify what others tell you.
