Anyone here ever retrofit a 4020 18i machine with a 10k air/oil spindle? The retrofit kit we received (lub-0092) seems to be tailored to a standard control arrangement. Also; has anyone tried to make improvements to the sheet metal covering the spindle mechanisms to help prevent failure? My particular Fadal draws a great deal of debris up through (from the back and bottom) the sheet metal and causes the belts to become contaminated. My opinion is the head should have a sealed/filtered head enclosure if the belts are susceptible to contamination. Kev...  |
