Hi, I have a trm with no enclosure so obviously any coolant options are super messy. Has anyone tried this cold air gun from airtx. It looks like a good option for machining without collant http://www.airtxinternational.com/catalog/air_guns.php thanks Mark |

If you have 8 cfm available from your compressor. The air gun is tiny and quiet, the compressor that is needed is not tiny and not quiet.

| its not so much the chips that I mind but the cleanup of the machine. I usually dry the whole thing down because of the worry of rust. Once I wiped it down and left the vise in place and when I removed it a while later the table was all rusty underneath. mark |

| we use the cool guns in our model shop were most machines are not enclosed and they seem to work real well. they were using coolant mister setups that were messy and did not get enough coolant at the point of contact for actual roughing and heat would cause problems. we are slowly replacing old machines with new small cnc that have full enclosure and flood coolant but still for small lots |
