Buck MMK 4th Axis

We bought a VMC2216 from Ford and it came with a Buck MMK 4th Axis. We're having problems with the 4th axis. Every .25 degrees it vibrates. I put an indicator on it and it bounces back and forth about .001". It does this every .25 degrees. Does anyone know how to get ahold of the company who made it. There's a plate on the side of it that says "Buck MMK, Logansport, IN 219-725-0225. But the sweet lady on the other end tells me it's no longer in service. If anyone has any info, I'd appreciate it! Thanks, Sean

More then likely you have a motor problem. The MMK rotorys use Fadal motors. Could be a dirty tach or resolver is bad.

Any Idea where I can get a drawing or instructions on how to take it apart. I can't reach the company who made it.

Sean--
If you need to adjust the servo loop gain, contact me at Mag Maintenance Technologies and I can give the documentation you need. (818 727-2100 option #4.)

may be a hint

This company is specialist for the drives in rotation, and they know the mmk matsumoto table very well. They might be able to diagnose the reason of the vibration, and make/suggest the repair. they do have higly skilled engineer for the maintenance team and on the design section to.
I know they work worldwide : www.allytech.eu

for information about the rotary table :

I saw Ford selling a few of these with new 4th axis rotaries. The 4th axis table I saw didnt have the right ratio for the Fadal controllers. It was 240-1 or something like that. Having about .001 backlash is pretty common on 4th axis rotaries. We had a repairman in the other day telling us he setup a 4th axis on an Okuma and did backlash for 360 degrees!!!
