I just put in a newer keyboard and then re fired up the machine.. All went well and then I experience the misterious problem . As I put the machine in MDI, I notice that as the cursor is blinking, that a value has been entered into the display.. I didnt put it there!! As I stand there with the machine idle within time, a nother value is entered.. I have posted previously with this bizaar problem.. The machine has been running fine and it seem that when I touch the 1090-2 board, that this issue arrises.. Is ther a grounding isssue associated?? My 1090 board is a 1090-2.. Machine is vintage 1985... All of your comments are greatly appreciated.. Also does any one have any 1090-2 boards etc for sale.. In good working condition of course!! Cheers Chips |

| Chips-- Check the spacing between the 1090 board and the keyboard. When you press a key the Keyboard can flex a small amount. if the two touch it can short. The stand offs need to be thick enough so they can not touch. Neal |

| Hello. I'm new to the board and I'm here because I'm having the same problem with my keyboard. I press "K" and the tool changer starts spinning. I press "Q" and the spindle starts spinning. Of course those inputs aren't necessarily consistent with what the machine starts doing everytime you push them though either. I just stand there and look at it and after a few minutes something else starts performing all by itself. It's like magic. I am looking for a 1090-2 board. Or at least I thought I'd try that first. If not, I'll send it off to REA Tech as previously mentioned. Anyway, great board and thanks in advance for any help, advice, or info. Fadal VMC 45 Model 903-1 Serial # 8201007 1985 or so? |

| Jimz, If you are experiencing random command inputs, I'd bang out the keypad too. Never heard of them doing something like that, could be a short in there somewhere. IMO spend a couple dollars get rid of the problem. BB |

i would like to know if someone has a fadal vmc 45, i just bought one but it does not work. The alarm that appear is "amplier of axis x,y,z,c fault". If someone has the manuals and wiring diagram will help a lot |

| http://www.mach3cnc.com/ mach3cnc usually has older boards or can upgrade you for a very respectable cost. Let John know you spoke to Bill from NJ! Hey Antonio! As long as there was nothing ligit to cause the alarm in the first place, from my experience with that alarm it'll ether state what you said or whatever the "axis selector knob" is on and call a fault on that [selected] axis. Usually hitting jog and doing a CS [cold start] will make that go away. |

Hello all. We are still having issues with our Fadal VMC 45. Is there anyone out there that has the correct manual(s), schematic(s), and diagram(s) for my machine that can be scanned and purchased if not sold outright? Thanks, Jimmy Fadal VMC 45 Model: 903-1 Serial: 8201007 |

| Jimmy-- The VMC 45 was the very first Fadal ever build. Only 17 of them were made. Any documentation for them has long since been lost. I have very little infor on them but if you can be specific as to the issues, I'll try to be of help. Neal |
